Fashion begins long before a finished garment reaches the rack. It starts with the materials, the people who make them, and the decisions that shape a product from the first stage of production. TEXFEST 2026 brought these parts of the industry into one place at Nirmana Falatehan, Blok M, Jakarta, for a festival organised by Pulau Intan Lestari on 10–11 July 2026.
As its first edition, TEXFEST introduced a different way to explore the fashion supply chain. Textile manufacturers, garment producers, printing specialists, material suppliers, and technology providers came together to present their work and connect with visitors. The event offered a closer look at the resources available to fashion businesses in Indonesia, from fabric development to the production processes behind finished products.
The programme also opened up conversations about building a fashion brand. Through talks and discussions, industry professionals shared their perspectives on product quality, local brand identity, creative direction, and the role of retail in a changing market. These sessions brought attention to the decisions that go into developing a product, including the importance of material selection, production standards, and a clear understanding of the audience a brand wants to reach.
Beyond the talks and exhibitions, TEXFEST created opportunities for businesses and individuals to make new connections. Visitors could meet potential suppliers, learn about different production capabilities, and exchange ideas with people working across the industry. Networking sessions and DJ sets added a more relaxed social element to the programme, balancing the practical side of the festival with an atmosphere that encouraged people to stay, explore, and connect.
At Nirmana Falatehan, the event brought an industry-focused gathering into a setting that accommodated both professional exchange and public participation. The mix of exhibition booths, discussion sessions, and social activities gave the venue a different rhythm throughout the festival, with each area offering visitors another way to engage with the event.
TEXFEST 2026 highlighted the many people and processes involved in bringing fashion products to life. By putting manufacturers, brand owners, creatives, and industry partners in the same room, its inaugural edition opened up conversations about local production and the possibilities within Indonesia’s fashion ecosystem. It was a gathering centred on the work behind fashion and the connections that help move the industry forward.
