For three days, from 31 July to 2 August 2026, Blok M became the setting for a district-wide celebration of fashion, music, art, and urban culture. JSD Blok M Festival 2026 brought together different creative scenes across multiple venues, turning familiar corners of the neighbourhood into destinations for shopping, discovery, and entertainment. Built around the spirit of Hari Raya Blok M, the festival celebrated the communities and businesses that have helped shape the area’s identity.
Originally known as Jakarta Sneakers Day, JSD has grown beyond sneaker culture into a wider platform for Indonesia’s creative industry. This year’s edition reflected that expansion through markets and programmes spanning streetwear, fashion, beauty, fragrance, collectibles, and lifestyle. With more than 260 booths across the festival, including a strong presence of Indonesian labels, visitors could discover established names alongside emerging local brands.
At Nirmana Falatehan, several creative communities came together through fashion, sneakers, and beauty. Jakarta Fashion Week’s fashion market, Jakarta Sneaker Day, and OH Beauty Festival each brought a distinct focus to the venue, giving visitors the opportunity to browse collections, explore products, and discover brands across different interests. The mix created a lively retail environment, with each section offering its own perspective on contemporary style and consumer culture.
The festival’s district-wide format encouraged visitors to move between venues and experience different sides of Blok M. Markets and exhibitions sat alongside music performances, art, nightlife, food, and other activities, making the neighbourhood itself part of the experience. Instead of concentrating everything in one exhibition hall, JSD invited people to explore the area, visit participating businesses, and encounter different communities along the way.
Local brands were central to the festival’s identity. For participating businesses, the event offered an opportunity to reach new audiences, introduce products, and connect directly with consumers. For visitors, it created a setting to discover Indonesian labels across different categories, from footwear and apparel to beauty and lifestyle products. This exchange between brands and their audiences gave the festival a strong commercial dimension while keeping community and culture at its heart.
For Nirmana Falatehan, being part of JSD Blok M Festival meant welcoming several creative sectors into one venue as part of a larger celebration across the neighbourhood. The combination of fashion, sneaker culture, and beauty brought a steady flow of discovery and activity to the space, connecting Nirmana with the wider energy of Blok M.
JSD Blok M Festival 2026 showed how a neighbourhood can become a meeting point for different creative industries. By bringing brands, communities, and audiences together across the district, the festival offered a broader picture of contemporary urban culture in Jakarta, one shaped by local businesses, individual interests, and the people who continue to give Blok M its character.
