Tradition, reimagined in motion.
On 22 May 2026, Nirmana Falatehan hosted Pasar Sukaria, a trunk show marking the launch of COTTONINK Archipelago’s latest collection, Cita Senada. Inspired by the textures and stories of Indonesian wastra, the collection drew from the wajik motif found in Jepara weaving, reinterpreting it through embroidery and woven details for a contemporary wardrobe.
The event took the familiar atmosphere of a traditional market and gave it a fresh, more contemporary expression. Inside Nirmana, the collection was presented alongside immersive installations, traditional dance performances, and details drawn from everyday Indonesian life. Market-inspired elements and an assortment of jajanan pasar added to the sense of place, making the experience feel warm, lively, and distinctly familiar.
Rather than a conventional fashion presentation, Pasar Sukaria invited guests to move through the space and take in the collection at their own pace. Fashion, food, movement, and installation came together in a setting that felt more like an environment than a runway.
For Nirmana Falatehan, the event reflected the venue’s ability to bring fashion and spatial experience into conversation. Its open, raw character gave the visual language of Archipelago room to unfold naturally, allowing traditional references to feel immediate rather than formal or distant.
Here, wastra was not presented only as something to wear. It became something to experience through texture, movement, atmosphere, and space.
